Investing Without the Need for Cash

It is sometimes hard for new business owners to do it alone – and now they don’t have to.

Ormita helps entrepreneurs convert the value tied up on their excess capacity, idle production time, overstocked inventory, slow-moving merchandise or unsold appointment time into investment equity in new and expanding businesses.

Ormita acts as a clearinghouse for the trade of excess capacities, goods and services – much like an alternative commodity exchange.

Participants buy and sell their excess capacity and/or stock in return for already budgeted for products and services, new investments, cash-flow enhancing products, professional services and donations.

Rather than promoting direct trade between participants, Ormita brokers transactions through its centralized marketplace.

Products and services are directly advertised to member businesses and sold on for full market value.

Transactions are accounted for in an Ormita “credit”, with one “credit” having the equivalent book value as $1 in cash.Using these newly acquired Ormita credits, a business owner can make investments into new enterprises or simply acquire needed goods and services to offset their existing cash costs.

Example Investment Transaction

A widget manufacturer has decided that they wish to create an investment portfolio in some start-up enterprises.

Widgets cost him $1 each to manufacture and their standard selling price is $10.

Working with Ormita, the manufacturer sells 1000 widgets and receives $8,000 in Ormita Credit and $2,000 in cash.

Using the $8,000 in Ormita credit, the manufacturer invests in 3 small businesses.

The manufacturer’s costs to make the widgets and pay taxes and fees were all covered in the cash received as part of the transaction.

Essentially the investment was paid for without the need for any additional cash outlay.
